Thank you for a wonderful stay. The Perfect base to explore Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal, Brimham Rocks, Grassington, Thirsk, Saltburn-by-the-Swea, Ripon, Aysgarth Falls and the Tan Hill Inn. We hope to be back one day.

We absolutely love it here - just perfect! Seb has loved it too. Apologies that he loved Ruby's ball a little too much! Every comfort catered for, particularly the wonderful bed - and we so appreciated the lovely light duvet, bought for our use as summer eventually arrived! We very much hope to be back.

Thank you very much for the welcome pack and to Chris when we came, sorting things out. Barn is very spacious and well equipped. It's central to all the locations that we wanted to visit. Tilly enjoyed her stay here too! Staveley Arms and Bull Inn both dog friendly pubs.

A stunning cottage in a fantastic location. It had everything we needed for a lovely week’s break. Nice walks and views straight from the back door. Lovely to be back at Terrace Barn again, it’s such a peaceful place to stay and great base for exploring the wonders of this part of Yorkshire. Delicious food at the Staveley Arms and good pub grub at The Bull at West Tanfield – both welcome dogs. Thanks again to Chris and Sally for a warm welcome and lovely goodies awaiting our arrival.

One of the nicest cottages we have stayed in - and we've stayed in a few! Fabulous for the dog with the enclosed garden and field to run in. Lots of lovely walks. The Staveley Arms is a must, great food.

OUTSTANDING accommodation. Everything excellent quality. Art work very interesting and good to have it explained in the folder. We had a lovely time. Lots of walks with our collie Chase and the two pubs in the village were really good. What a wonderful cottage in a beautiful location, so peaceful, idylic and charming. We've packed lots in, walks, castles, abbey's, gardens and historic houses, and the weather has been great. Chris and Sally are superb hosts and the cottage is fantastic, we couldn't have asked for more. The welcome pack was much appreciated and the art in the cottage a real treat. This is a fabulous place to stay. Everything we needed, an ideal place for the dog, fabulous goodies as a 'welcome pack' and delightful owners Chris and Sally, who gave us great ideas for places to explore.

We have loved our week here and really don't want to go home! Terrace Barn has been a wonderful location to explore Yorkshire. Molly and I have walked and walked , Nidderdale has been my favourite. The weather has been outstanding, wall to wall sun! The Barn is beautifully presented and so comfortable and has everything one could need. Chris and Sally are wonderful owners and utterly helpful and delightful. I feel a return visit is on the cards. Thank you!!

A fabulous break!! Perfect dog walking weather – warm and dry but not too hot. High end accommodation in a great location with welcoming host. Couldn’t have asked for anything more!!

We think we have found a little jewel of a place! Extremely well appointed with everything we needed. We cooked indoors, on the BBQ, used the washing machine. Love all the art and ceramics. Took walks to the weir and beyond. Very hospitable hosts in Sally and Chris

Hosts, accommodation, location, facilities all 10/10. Cleanliness 11/10. Asgarth Falls - spectacular. Knaresborough – lots of character. Harrogate – got to do Betty’s. Druids Temple – hidden history. Chris and Sally were very knowledgeable of the area, very helpful – looked after Humphry , our dog, for a day.
